Our Mission
Big Muddy Ranch is here to serve your horsemanship and cattle needs.
I train horses year round in our indoor arena. 30, 60, 90 days or longer. I have indoor and outdoor facilities
for stabling you horses. I use a safe and kind methods for training. Horses get rode every day, they are
exposed to cattle , learn to handle and go through gates. Trail riding in our pastures, exposed to hills, trees,
brush and other obstacles. These horses are truly "Ranch Broke" and are willing and safe to ride after their
training. If you want your horse for a specific use such as barrels, roping, cutting, sorting, etc. I will give
them a good start and finish them for your specfic competition.

Our History
We are the Big Muddy Ranch, owned and operated by Merwin and Bonita
Krone. Merwin and Bonnie have given the Big Muddy Ranch a reputation of hosting quality events in a family atmosphere.
Merwin has nearly 40 years of horse training experience. He is the master-mind behind
the league system in sorting ; the first to host them in the state of Minnesota.
(See events Page.) Often, you will find Bonnie hosting the penning and sorting events as the official timekeeper, announcer,
and bookkeeper while taking part in the events as well. Both of them enjoy the camaraderie among the cowboys and
cowgirls.
